Mr. Bill Waltemath - Director of Bands

Mr. Waltemath came to
West Rusk in 2006. He previously taught at the Highland Park ISD
in Amarillo, Tx., Westwood H.S. in Mesa, Az. Miami H.S. in
Miami, Az., and the Bloomfield Public Schools in Bloomfield New Mexico.
Mr. Waltemath grew up in Plano, Tx. and graduated from Plano
Senior High School. Mr. Waltemath received his bachelor degree in
music education and masters degree in conducting from West Texas
A&M University in Canyon, Tx. Mr. Waltemath's bands have
consistently earned superior ratings, and consistently competed in the
Arizona state marching and concert competitions. Mr. Waltemath'
ensembles were twice selected to perform at the AMEA conference in
Tempe, Az., and Mr. Waltemath served as region governor of the North
Central Region for AMEA. Mr. Waltemath studied with Mr. Don Lefevre,
Dr. Gary Garner, Dr Joe Cox, Mr. Charles Forque, Mr. Ed Jones, Mr. Everette Gilmore, and
Mr. Richard Morgan
Mr. A.J. Meals - Assistant Director of Bands

Mr
Meals came to West Rusk in the summer of 2007. Mr. Meals earned
his bachelors degree in music education from Texas A&M
University - Commerce. Mr. Meals grew up in Whitesboro, Tx, where
he began playing French Horn. Mr. Meals previously worked with the
Princeton HS Band in Princeton, Tx. Mr. Meals is very active in
the church, and enjoys woodworking as a hobby.
Mrs. Jeri Coke - Assistant Director - Twirling Instructor

Mrs.
Coke returned to her alma mater in the spring of 2007. While a
student at West Rusk, Mrs. Coke tudied with Mr. Joan Bridge, and became
one of our most accomplished twirlers. After graduation,
Mrs. Coke became a twirler at Kilgore College, and later became a
Stephen F Austin Twirl-O-Jack. Since graduating from SFA, Mrs.
Coke has been an active twirling judge and respected twirling clinician
thru out the state of Texas. Mrs. Coke also continues to seve on
the alumni board of both the Kilgore College Twirlers, and SFA
Twirl-O -Jacks
